Birma Ram, who had cleared the Prelims of the Rajasthan Administrative Services (RAS) exam 2016 while in service and was preparing for the mains, was arrested yesterday by an Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuth.
The bribe amount was also recovered from his coat pocket, said Tarun Kant Somani, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), ACB, Bundi, who laid the trap.
The accused ATI, during an inspection in January, had found three passengers of the state roadways bus of Jhalawar depot travelling without tickets following which he demanded a bribe of Rs 25,000 from the bus conductor.
