He took charge as Director Personnel of Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) on March 12, 2018, the company said.
Srivastava holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from IIT-Kanpur, joined SAIL in the year 1985 as a Management Trainee (Technical) at the company's Bhilai Steel Plant. Prior to joining as Director Personnel he held the position of Executive Director at Durgapur Steel Plant, the company said.
In a separate filing, the steel maker said that "on completion of her tenure in Ministry of Steel, Urvilla Khati, Nominee Director of SAIL has ceased to be a Director on the board of directors of SAIL wef February 28, 2018...
