"Our vision is to report USD 1 billion revenue from the Indian market in the next 5 years. We are growing at 30 per cent year-on-year, double the growth reported in the global market," Harman India VP and GM Lifestyle Sumit Chauhan told PTI.
He further said: "Indian customers are becoming discerning and willing to pay for premium sound experience. India is among the top 10 global markets for the company."
About 10,000 people work for Harman in India.
The company today launched over two dozen audio products and announced opening of three new customer service centres in India.
The products launched today include audio portables, headphones, home and multimedia, car aftermarket products from company's various brands including JBL, Harman Kardon and Infinity priced between Rs 1,119 and Rs 39,990.
