The 'Amelie' actress became a worldwide sensation after breaking out in the hit 2001 French drama, but she insists she has no desire to move to Hollywood because of the pressure placed on actresses to constantly look perfect, reported Independent online.
"I am very French and in Hollywood, the pressure is different. It's not the same in France. Of course, oui, the idea of being 'bankable' in France exists but it's not as unforgiving," Tautou said.
The 36-year-old star has previously taken lead roles in big American movies such as 'The Da Vinci Code', but feels she her ambition is not big enough for a permanent acting career in Hollywood.
"Getting a role like 'The Da Vinci Code', that's fine. Once in a while, I would love to, but it doesn't work like that. They are not just going to come and pick me up as an actress with all the wonderful actresses they have.
