Baba raps for the first time in Bengali film

While rating Akshay Kumar's Special 26, as the most favorite flick of the Bollywood hero, Khiladi star Ankush does not idolize the actor or his works in masala genre flicks.
"No way I traced his antics of the Bollywood Khiladi in our flick, which incidentally bears no similarities with the Hindi one excepting name, that too given as we were planning something catchy, peppy in title as well as in tracks. And Khiladi is a phrase, not Kheloar or Player that instantly comes to the mind," Ankush told PTI.
Special 26, directed by Neeraj Pandey, also stars Jimmy Shergill, Manoj Bajpai and Anupam Kher inspired by a real-life heist in 1987 where a group posing as CBI officers executed an income tax raid at a Mumbai jewllery store.

Political thriller Kanamachhi star Ankush, who is turning up in a Muslim boy's role in Khiladi, the romantic comedy, said, "I portray situations where I end up in Hindu households ostensibly to offer pujo. Khiladi behind the comic veneer seeks to say Bengal and our festivities are not narrowed down by religions and communities when it comes to matters of heart."
Khoka 420 actor and the female lead of the movie Nusrat Jahan said the film's tracks reflect the rocking mood during the puja including 'bhasan' track Jay Dugga Thakur.
"The film, filled with the fun and frolic of the five day festivities, also seeks to give a message in a non-preachy way. About the all secular nature of it overcoming religious boundaries," Nusrat said.

"It is a classy film aimed at the masses and please no reference to the Akshay-starrer Khiladi," she said.

The movie also introduces Baba Sehgal for the first time in Bengali film as play back singer.
"Baba the king of rapper is first time used in a Bengali film," music director Sri Pritam said.
"The number Heartbeat has already become a hit among the audiences on the second day of launch with typical Baba touches," he said.
"He (Baba) loved the situation narrative after we concurred only Baba could deliver such a number once the lyrics and tunes were fixed and see what he has done, Heartbeat could become chartbuster outside Bengal too," he said.
