Badal directs DCs ensure people don't face inconvenience in

Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has ordered the Deputy Commissioners in districts across the state to immediately put in place a mechanism to avoid any sort of inconvenience to people in banks during withdrawal or exchange of currency.
Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the Chief Minister's Office said that taking a note from the long queues of people who want to withdraw money from banks and the consequential inconvenience, the Chief Minister had asked the Deputy Commissioners to ensure that Bank authorities must provide chairs for sitting so that people need not stand, particularly the old and women.
He has also asked the officers to ensure facility of drinking water and tea, if feasible.
Badal has also asked them to introduce token system in consultation with the banks, so that people do not face any sort of problem.
Likewise, the Chief Minister has asked the officers to hire educated individuals for providing assistance to people for filling in the forms for changing, depositing or withdrawing money.
Badal has asked the officers to ensure that this mechanism aimed at facilitating the common man must be put in place from tomorrow.
He had directed the officers to make the necessary arrangements at the earliest so that people do not face any sort of inconvenience.
