Paying tributes to Giani Tarlochan Singh, the head priest of Takht (temporal seat) Sri Keshgarh Sahib, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today described him as "great personality" and recalled his services for the Sikh Panth's well being.
"With the untimely death of 'Giani Ji', a huge void has been created in the Sikh Panth that could never be fulfilled in the near future," Badal told reporters here.
He said that the deceased's entire life was devoted to the cause of humanity in general and that of Sikhism in particular.
Singh died at his residence here on July 30 following a massive heart attack. He assumed charge as the head of Sri Keshgarh Sahib, one of the five temporal seats of Sikhs, in February 2003.
