Major rivers in Uttar Pradesh continued to flow above the danger mark with light to moderate showers at isolated areas in north India even as the maximum temperatures hovered above normal at most places in the region today.
Delhiites today witnessed a pleasant day as scattered rains and cloud cover kept the temperature at normal level. The city received a total of 4.5 mm of rains.
The day's temperature was recorded at 34.9 degrees Celsius, a notch above the normal, while overcast conditions, coupled with rains, kept the minimum temperature a degree below normal at around 25 degrees Celsius.
The weatherman has predicted a generally cloudy sky tomorrow, with possibility of rains and thundershowers in some areas.
In Uttar Pradesh, moderate to heavy rains and thundershowers lashed various parts of the state as its major rivers continued to flow above the danger mark.
Sources at the Central Water Commission said river Ganga continued to flow near the red mark at Fatehgarh, Kanpur and Gazipur while flowing above the danger mark at Ballia.
