The Lake is situated in Badkhal village in Faridabad, about 32 km from Delhi.
The BJP MLA from Badkhal Seema Tirkha brought up the issue of lake before CM at a rally here yesterday, saying it was once a tourist spot that attracted huge visitors and collected revenue, is now drying.
Khattar assured the people that his government is already working on the matter and a professional company has been tasked with the job of analysing the reasons behind drying of the lake.
He accused the previous government of ignoring the lake and announced a fund of Rs 10 lakhs that would be paid to the company working for the revival of the lake.
"With the CM already taking initiative in the matter I am very hopeful that the lake would be revived. This would not only increase the revenue but will promote employment for the locals too," Trikha told PTI.
