"The minorities should be conscious of their rights. Part of the responsibility to ensure that they got their due as per Contitutional provisions rests on shoulders of the intellectuals belonging to these communities," he said.
Addressing a seminar here on the the occasion of the World Minorities Day, Bahuguna issued instructions to hold a conference of minorities in all districts in the state.
Those among the minorities who have moved up the social ladder should think of those who have lagged behind and take inititives to help them join the social mainstream, Bahuguna told the seminar organised by the state Minorities Commission.
