Police today imposed a temporary ban on the Anatomic Therapy Foundation and other organisations run by self-styled 'Healer' Bhaskar who has been arrested for allegedly cheating the public.
He was taken into custody yesterday on a complaint from the district health department that he was imparting free training to people on child birth through a normal, safe delivery without going to the doctor.
The man has been claiming that he can cure all diseases without medication and consultations with doctors.
The health department has been on alert since the death of a woman at nearby Tirupur recently after her husband and friends tried to help her in delivery without the assistance of doctors.
