Bank manager thrashed by customer

A manager of a state-owned bank was allegedly thrashed by a customer when he went to his house to seek loan installment, police said today.
Ashutosh Upadhay, branch manager of Canara Bank of Buroli village, about 15 km from here, was allegedly thrashed yesterday by a villager identified as Navin Kumar when the manager had gone to his house to demand an installment of the loan taken for buying cattle, police said.
Navin was booked for causing hurt and obstruction in official work on the complaint of the manager, police said, adding that investigation was underway.
