Base metals extend fall on subdued demand

Base metals prices extended its fall at the non-ferrous metal market here today on sustained stockist selling amidst lower industrial demand.
The industrial metals were trading almost flat at the LME, as investors stayed on the sidelines, wary about a controversial bailout plan for Cyprus.
Tin and nickel dipped by Rs 5 per kg each to Rs 1,425 and Rs 1,045 from Monday's closing level Rs 1,430 and Rs 1,045.
Copper utensils scrap and brass sheet cutting moved down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 446 and Rs 333 from Rs 448 and 335.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper wire bar, copper sheet cutting, brass utensil scrap, aluminium ingots, aluminium utensils and zinc softened by a rupee per kg each to Rs 488, Rs 481, Rs 516, Rs 466, Rs 324, Rs 140, Rs 114 and Rs 144, respectively.
