Base metal prices fell by Rs 2 per kg on the local non-ferrous base metals market today on stockists selling in tandem with a weak global trend.
Traders said sentiment weakened after copper traded at over than two months in global markets on concern China's slowing growth and a weaker yuan may reduce demand for the base metal in the biggest user.

In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and nickel (4x4) fell by Rs 2 each to Rs 438 and Rs 1,059-1,060 per kg respectively.
Zinc ingot, lead ingot and lead imported also traded lower by same margin to Rs 117-123, Rs 134 and Rs 132 per kg respectively.
