Base metals prices end on mixed note

Base metals prices ended on a mixed note at the non-ferrous metal market here today following bouts of buying and selling activity.
The industrial metals fell at the London Metal Exchange (LME) to its lowest in almost three weeks as expectations of weak manufacturing data from top consumer China faded prospects for growth in metals demand.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper armiture and copper wire bar moved up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 484, Rs 478, Rs 470 and Rs 512 from Monday's closing level of Rs 482, Rs 476, Rs 468 and Rs 510, respectively.
However, Tin dropped by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,350 from Rs 1,355.
Lead and nickel went down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 131 and Rs 970 from Rs 133 and Rs 972.
Brass sheet cutting softened by a rupee per kg to Rs 336.
