"Modi is rolling out the red carpet and trying to finish red-tape and cut down the regulations which have been there in India for long. He has un-caged the 'tiger' (apparently referring to India) which is ready to take on the world," she told reporters here.
This will impact the Indian and Canadian economy, she said, adding, it would bring more business and jobs which at present were limited.
He (Modi) himself has been the Chief Minister of Gujarat and developed that state from whatever powers he harnessed, she said.
More investment will come besides clean energy and economy will grow and we want sustainable partnership with India, she said.
Clark had a meeting with the official of the Indian Oil Corporation which is one of the investors in the Petroliam Nasional (Petronas Project) in Canada.
It is the biggest Indian investment and once the project meets the deadline we can expect more investments from India, she added.
Clark also announced a funding for 20 scholarships, worth a total of 50,000 dollars, to support and encourage two-way exchange of students between the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) and Sanatan Dharma (SD) College in Chandigarh.
