Bedi orders shuffling ofSecretaries

In a bureaucratic reshuffle in the union territory, Lt Governor Kiran Bedi today transferred the Puducherry Collector P Jawahar, replacing him with Satyendra Singh Dursawat.
Dursawat, who was District Collector of Karaikal, will have jursidiction over Puducherry, Mahe and Yanam regions, a release from the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms said.
DRDA Project Director P Parthiban takes the place of Dursawat as Karaikal District Collector.
Jawahar has been assigned the subjects of Local Administration, Town and Country Planning, Housing, Information and publicity.
He would also be chairman of Project Implementation Agency.
