At a time when everyone in showbiz is sweating it out to get that perfect body, comedian-actress Bharti Singh is quite happy about being on the plus side.
The 29-year-old reality TV star said she does not mind being overweight as it has proved to be a blessing for her.
"When I came to Mumbai seven years back, I used to hate the fact that I am overweight. But it has become my USP. I never try to diet. To be successful talent matters, not weight," Bharti told reporters during the launch of "I Can Do That", a challenge-based reality show.
"When I see people laughing at my jokes, I feel so special. It is much more important than the fame I have achieved."
The comedy star, who has starred in Akshay Kumar's "Khiladi 786" and Punjabi movie "Jatt & Juliet 2", has been getting a lot of film offers, but Bharti said she prefers TV as she feels its reach is more vast than that of movies.
"I don't know when will I do movies. I have so much work lined up already that I am not able to find time for anything else. I love television, all the TV characters are so popular," she said.
On personal front, Bharti, who hails from Punjab, is planning to take her mother on a special birthday trip.
"As soon as I am done with this show, I am going to take my mother on a surprise cruise trip on her birthday in November. She is everything for me and I want to do everything for her.
