The actor's stars are set to rise further if his critically acclaimed portrayal of Alan Turing in 'The Imitation Game' gets an Oscar nomination in the near future.
Talking about his rise to fame, Cumberbatch, in an interview to BBC's Andrew Marr Show, said, "You try to normalize things as much as you can. The amount of speculation and the crossover between anyone whose public life and their professional and their private life is hard.
But one thing that really helps the 38-year-old star escape into his own world in sketching.
"(And) a little bit of drawing. I do a little bit of pen and ink but canvas work has been a little while off, I need the space and a bit more time... But, yeah, I love sketching still, really love that," he said.
