Through its website www.Vigyanchetna.In, the state department of science and technology is inviting researchers, to submit their scientific research papers which can even be in vernacular languages.
Science and Technology minister Asish Banerjee said selected papers will be presented in the state science congress to be held in February-March next year.
After the conference, the best papers will be published either in a journal by the government or they will get it published in other journals of repute.
Subjects include physics, chemistry, mathematics, medical science, environmental science, engineering, earth science, life science, social science, IPR and agriculture, fisheries and animal science.
To take science beyond the cities, the government will also organise three regional science congress at Bankura, Jalpaiguri and Kolkata in November.
The minister said this is for the first time they are involving the rural populace in a big way in the science congress.
