"We have ideological differences but we also have to work in cohesion for the sake of development of West Bengal," Banerjee said.
She, however, accused the Centre of interfering in certain matters, saying "in a federal structure, one has to follow the norms."
"They are holding video conference with the chief secretary instead of talking to us. Isn't it bypassing of the elected government?" the chief minister said at a programme of a vernacular news channel.
"Unnecessarily, they are interfering in our business, this is not done," she said.
Banerjee said that her party has supported NDA government on issues which are good for the people. "We have supported them on GST."
The Trinamool Congress supremo, however, accused the BJP-led NDA government of differentiating between religions.
"Government is not for a particular community, it should work for all," she said.
Regarding the recent remarks of senior BJP leader L K Advani that 'forces that can crush democracy are stronger' now and that Emergency was possible, she said "may be there is a communication gap within the party. He was also not invited to a recent event."
Speaking on certain sections in CPI(M) reportedly calling for a tie-up with Congress in West Bengal to take on Trinamool Congress, Banerjee said "they have always had an understanding. That is why I had come out (of Congress) and created Trinamool Congress."
"But even if the Left, BJP and Congress come together, they will not succeed," she said talking about the prospects of the opposition parties in West Bengal which is scheduled to go to Assembly elections in 2016.
