Presiding over the review meeting of disaster management at the camp office at his official residence, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today directed officials in this regard.
The proposed super emergency operation centre will be set up in the under-construction Police Bhawan and protocols will be laid down for functioning of the centre, the Chief Minister said.
Kumar directed the Disaster Management Department and Disaster Management Authority to submit a proposal to the state government about requirements of the super emergency operation centre.
With food being most sought after relief material during times of natural disaster, the chief minister said that the 'Shatabdi Ann Kalash Yojana' will remain operational so that nobody dies.
To mobilise resources for disaster management, he
emphasized on making arrangements for all requirements at the state and district-level on time to migitate the natural disaster and identified life jacket, net, tent, box, utensil, boat, inflatable motorboat, GPS set, inflatable emergency lighting system, ambulances among other necessary resources for the purpose.
The Chief Minister further directed the officials to provide training to the people to deal with natural disaster, besides imparting training to quick medical response teams by laying down norms for doctors and police officials so that the disaster management mechanism remained unaffected in the case of transfers.
The Disaster Management Minister Chandrashekhar, Chief Secretary Anjani Kumar Singh, DGP P K Thakur and other top officials attended the review meeting of the Disaster Management Department.
