The state is already in talks with various companies for preparing boio-fuel from stubble and will also provide implements to farmers on subsidised rates to keep a check on the practice of burning paddy stubble in the state, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said.
Khattar who participated in the National Capital Region Planning Board (NCPRB) meeting organised by the Union Urban Development Ministry said the "State Government is contemplating on preparing bio-fuel from the stubble and is in constant touch with various companies in this regard. Apart from this, farmers were being made aware not to burn paddy stubble," Khattar said in an official statement.
On the lines of national capital Gurugram Development Authority (GDA) has prepared a plan to purchase 500 CNG buses. And CNG run NCR Motor Cab (Taxi) Scheme has also been prepared, the statement added.
