Alleging discrimination, BJP in Uttar Pradesh today claimed that "none" of the proposals submitted by the BJP MPs has been cleared by the SP government.
"From road to other development works none of the proposal submitted by the BJP MPs has been cleared by the SP government," BJP state president Laxmi Kant Bajpai told reporters while accusing Akhilesh Yadav government of neglecting BJP MPs.
BJP has 71 MPs in UP.
He also attacked the SP government over "poor" law and order situation in the state and said the party would petition the President over it.
"We will charge sheet the SP government before the President on law, order and development issues," Bajpai said.
He accused the SP government of levelling "unnecessary and
baseless" allegations against the NDA government out of frustration and desperation after its miserable defeat in Lok Sabha polls last year.
Bajpai alleged that the chief minister had skipped several meetings called by the Centre.
"Akhilesh did not attend a meeting of CMs called by Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan on dues of cane farmers, but in his place a junior minister attended the meeting," he said.
The BJP state chief alleged that the CM was least concerned about the people of the state.
Bajpai said that his party supported inclusion of 17 backward classes in SC/ST category, but the SP and BSP should clarify what they did during UPA regime which they supported.
"In reality, they supported UPA government to save their skin from CBI probe into disproportionate assets case," he alleged.
BJP MPs and leaders yesterday submitted a memorandum to UP Governor Ram Naik alleging failure of SP government on all fronts.
After a 24-hour long 'dharna' as part of a state-wide agitation against alleged poor law and order situation and policies of SP government in the state, BJP MPs and leaders led by Bajpai submitted a memorandum to the Governor.
The party also alleged discrimination on political ground and corruption in distribution of compensation to farmers.
Of the 71 MPs from the state, 14 are either Union Minister or Union Minister of State, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
Earlier in the day, the chief minister said he was waiting for the memorandum. "It is an era of return gift. If they want cooperation, we too prefer the same," he said.
Akhilesh said he would write to the Prime Minister in this regard. "I want UP gets maximum benefit," he said.
