State BJP spokesman Ganesh Dutt alleged the state government had alloted tenders for supplying, refilling and repainting of oxygen cylinders to a Mandi-based industry in 2011 and later after three years, extension was given to it without following an appropriate legal procedure.
"The contract was made with the Rogi Kalyan Samiti of Shimla for supply and maintenance of oxygen cylinders in IGMC and other Shimla-based government hospitals.
"However, the said industry took advantage of it and started supplying cylinders to all the bigger government hospitals across the state by influencing the government functionaries," he alleged.
