BJP is afraid its CMs will be exposed over coal issue: Shukla

"BJP is adamant on not letting the Parliament function," Shukla told reporters here after attending a prayer meeting for the late Union Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh this evening.

"BJP knows that if it allows Parliament to function, the role of its four Chief Ministers in the coal allocation issue would be exposed," he said.

The stalemate in the Parliament was delaying the passage of important bills pertaining to land reforms, money laundering, etc, Shukla said.

People wanted these bills passed, he added.
