"The fertiliser policy of the UPA government is anti-farmer and this will be highlighted during our dharna. We will continue holding frequent protests till the government reviews its policy," the national president of the Morcha, Om Praksh Dhankar, told reporters here.
"We will also protest against the government's move to decontrol the prices of fertilisers, which will hit farmers who are already reeling under the pressure of rising cost of production," he said.
The dharna will be held from today till August 8.
"We will also submit a memorandum to the Prime Minister asking him to ensure that fertilisers are made available to the farmers at affordable rates," Dhankar said.
