BJP Kisan Morcha to stage dharna in Delhi

BJP Kisan Morcha national president OP Dhankar said this at the end of the two-day national executive meet of the Morcha here today.

Dharnas would be held at the district level on August 8 throughout the country, he said.

Addressing the meeting, senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh said due to the "wrong policies" of the UPA government, the country's farming community was heading towards doom.

He said that in view of the deficit monsoon, the Centre should announce compensation and declare drought as national calamity and demanded immediate initiatives to bring agriculture out of crisis.
