A BJP member today raised in Lok Sabha the issue of repeated raising of Pakistani flags in Kashmir and questioned why the PDP-BJP government in the state was not taking stern action, unlike in the past, against those resorting to such anti-national acts.
Raising the issue during Zero Hour, R K Singh, who was former Union Home Secretary, said the recent incidents of Pakistani flags being raised is a matter of concern and such acts help boost the morale of anti-national forces.
He said earlier stern action used to be taken against those resorting to such acts and made a strong plea for the Jammu and Kashmir government to deal with the issue in a tough manner.
Singh wanted the Centre to ensure that such acts are sternly dealt with.
The remarks of the ruling party member are significant as Jammu and Kashmir is ruled by PDP-BJP coalition.
Kashmir valley has witnessed repeated incidents of raising of Pakistani flags in the recent months.
