Former BJP minister and sitting MLA from Nahan Rajiv Bindal today started a 72-hour fast to protest against "neglect" of developmental projects in his constituency during the Congress rule.
Surrounded by supporters, Bindal started his fast at 'Bara Chowk here after addressing a meeting of locals.
Talking to media persons, Bindal alleged that developmental works have come to a "standstill" in Nahan area during 18 months of Congress rule and people have been forced to come on the streets to fight for their rights.
He claimed during the period, he could only succeed in getting prepared detailed project reports of some crucial projects, while a large number of development proposals were "gathering dust" in different departments due to "lack" of political will.
