"The government must immediately constitute a SIT to probe the multi-lakh scholarship fraud that has surfaced in the Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University at Rajouri," BJP state unit vice-president and MLC Vibodh Gupta said.
Those "defaming" the institution should be identified and "booked" as per the law, he said, adding that only a SIT can investigate the entire case in a transparent manner.
He also said that the students of the University were facing hardships due to the "increased" fee structure and shortage of the teaching and non teaching staff in the university.
