Blaming UPA's "inaction" for Pakistan daring to attack India, BJP said after repeated ceasefire violations along the LoC, Prime Minister Singh should take effective steps in this directions by taking all political parties into confidence.
"You should declare today itself that there will be no talks with Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. Also, you should take effective steps by taking all political parties into confidence. All limits have been crossed now," Singh said here today, wondering over reports that the Prime Minister still intends holding talks with his Pakistani counterpart.
Addressing a rally at Ramlila grounds here, the BJP chief gave a clarion call to oust the Congress-led government in Delhi and then at the Centre and announced his party would bring electricity rates down by 30 per cent if voted to power.
"I feel India's High Commissioner should be recalled and diplomatic relations with Pakistan scaled down," Singh said, adding he had made this demand at the time of beheading of Indian soldiers by Pakistan.
"We have tried to maintain good, friendly relations with Pakistan. But all limits have been crossed now. I wish to appeal to the Prime Minister to declare that there would be no further talks with Pakistan till it stops such-type actions (of attacking Indian soldiers and supporting terror)," he said.
