Raising the issue during Zero Hour, Yogi Adityanath (BJP) said anti-social elements in the state of Uttar Pradesh are being protected by those who are in power and an SIT probe may be started.
Prem Singh Chandumajra (SAD) said it is a serious matter. All parties should rise above politics and should ensure that such things do not happen.
As per the HC order, the disputed land belong to the Gurudwara, he said, adding there were looting of shops of Sikhs by by anti-social elements resulting in a loss of about Rs 200 crore.
Adityanath said so far this year there has been 65 communal clashes in the state and 15 people have lost lives. In 2013, 247 clashes had happened and 89 people killed.
Curfew was clamped on Saturday in the wake of clashes between two communities over a land dispute in which three persons were killed and 34 injured. 165 shops and handcarts and 42 vehicles were set ablaze in the violence.
A total of 22 FIRs have been registered and 76 people have been arrested so far in connection with the violence.
