The youth wing of the BJP today called for the arrest of Ashwani Kumar and Pawan Kumar Bansal saying it was not enough that they had resigned from their respective posts after coming under fire for allegedly "misusing" their powers as Union Ministers.
Members of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) also demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as his Cabinet members were facing allegations of being involved in various scams.
Led by their state vice-president, Karan Sharma, BJYM activists burnt the effigy of the UPA government and demanded that a probe be held against all tainted ministers.
"First 2G, then coalgate and now railgate, this government is covered in corruption. Mere resignations by the law and railways ministers won't do. They should be prosecuted and put behind bars like A Raja and Suresh Kalmadi," Sharma said.
He also hit out at the UPA government for using CBI as its instrument. "They have been using CBI as an instrument for their own political gains. They should stop such practices," he said.
