The deceased have been identified as 22-year-old Shiv Kumar and 20-year-old Pooja, both residents of Ambala City and working in the same company, police said.
Both were employed in a private company in Chandigarh and were coming back to their homes after their duty last evening, they said, adding the two allegedly committed suicide but the cause behind their extreme step could not be ascertained.
A villager informed the police late last night that two bodies were lying on the track just opposite to Ambala-Chandigarh Highway, following which the police rushed to the spot.
