Body of minor girl found in drain in Shalimar Bagh

The body of a 7-year-old girl who had gone missing two days ago was found this afternoon in a drain in Shalimar Bagh area here, police said.
The girl, identified as Khushbu, was missing since August 1 when she was seen playing with other children in the rain, near her house at Haidarpur slum of Indralok area.
Later, the children told that she had fallen in a drain but police and rescue team had failed to retrieve her body, a police officer said.
A missing report was registered and efforts were being made to trace her, he said.
Her body was found floating im the drain by the locals. The body was sent for autopsy and investigation has been started to ascertain the cause of her death.
