Body of missing minor boy found near canal

A body of a minor boy, who was missing for a few days, was found near the Agra canal in south east Delhi's Jaitpur in this morning, police said.
The boy was identified as Akash Jha. He went missing on February 28, from near his school.
A case of kidnapping was registered in this regard and search was carried out to find him, a senior police officer said.
The officer said that a PCR call was received at the Jaitpur police station regarding the body at 9:42 AM. A team rushed to the canal, where the body was found, he said.

The body was lying in the shallow area of the canal. It was removed after inspection by the crime team and shifted to AIIMS for post mortem, the officer said
Further action will be initiated after post mortem and medical opinion, he said.
