All the accused are juveniles aged between 13 and 17 years, and the plan was hatched by one of them whose mother works as domestic help in the victim's residence. Police apprehended the three juveniles today, said DCP (Northeast) Veenu Bansal.
According to the police, on September 15, a decomposed body of a boy was found at a secluded spot in Mansarovar Park area. When the body could not be identified for 72 hours, despite putting photograph and details on newspapers, police sent it for a postmortem examination and later cremated it.
They tracked down the callers, who turned out to be three minors, and apprehended them one after another this morning. When they were questioned about the missing boy, they confessed to have strangled him to death on September 13 night and then dumped the body the next day at Mansarovar Park area, the DCP said.
