Wrestler-actor John Cena says he is in love with former fiancee Nikki Bella and the decision to call off his engagement still "stings" him.
The former couple, who were together for six years, announced their split days before their wedding on May 5.
"Nicole knows I love her and I miss her, but that is what it is. And I'm still here, still going - and I choose to go. When you love somebody, it stings. That's why musicians write about it. That's why poets write about it," Cena told E! News.
The duo had requested for privacy following the cancellation of their wedding.
This is not the first time the "Blockers" actor had spoken about their break-up.
He previously said he still loves Bella with "all (his) heart".
Cena and Bella, both professional wrestlers, got engaged in April last year.
