The 56-year-old "Summer of 69" took to Facebook to share the picture of the "graffiti" done by officials with green highlighter.
"Airport customs graffiti on my 1946 Martin D-18 from Egypt. Back to the luthier...#bryanadamsgetup," he posted.
Adams took to the social networking site again to assure everyone that the guitar "will be fixed".
"TO ALL MY EGYPTIAN FRIENDS: Thank you for writing about the guitar, I really appreciate it, it will be fixed no problem. I want you all to know that I love your country and we had an amazing time there, we felt at home.
He also posted pictures of him performing in front of the Sphinx of Giza.
