BSF foils infiltration bids in Samba, Kathua

Border Security Force today foiled infiltration bids by Pakistan-based militants along the International Border in Kathua and Samba districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
"There were two movements of suspected persons picked up by the BSF troops in two forward belts of Hirangar and Samba sectors during early hours of today," a BSF officer said.
BSF troops, who watch them moving in Pakistan side close to our territory, fired upon them forcing them to retreat, the officer said.
Security agencies have sounded an alert about possible infiltration bid by militants from across the border in Jammu and Kashmir with the active support of ISI and Pakistan Army.

The alert was issued after two successive terrorist strikes in Jammu region on Friday and Saturday last when the attackers entered into the state after crossing the International borders.
According to the intelligence inputs, there would be more infiltration attempts from across the border and all such attempts are being supported by the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI and the Army, official sources said.
Some of the alerts are very specific like detailed information about the possible sites of infiltration bids.
In the past two months, Pakistan-based terror groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed have made many attempts to infiltrate into the country and a few of them have been successful, the sources said.
