Businessmen shot at, looted

Motorbike borne miscreants shot at and injured two businessmen and snatched Rs 16 lakh from them at Kankinara under Jagaddal police station in North 24 Parganas district today, the police said.
The two businessmen were going on a rickshaw when they were intercepted by the miscreants who fired at them leaving them injured and snatched a bag that the victims said contained Rs 16 lakh in cash.
Both the businessmen were admitted to hospital where their condition was stated to be out of danger.
