Bypoll: Static Magistrates to be deputed for all 88 polling

To ensure free and fair polling in the February 13 Assembly bypoll here, the district administration has decided to depute Static Magistrates at all 88 polling centres.
Voting in 312 booths will be held under supervision of 88 static magistrates. Videography would also be done, District Magistrate Nikhil Chand Shukla said today.
Six zonal, 28 sector and 88 static magistrates have been posted for the bypoll where 3,37,579 people including 1,54,055 womenare eligibleto exercise their franchise, he said, adding security has been tightened for the poll.
The by-election for Muzaffarnagar Assembly is scheduled for February 13 and the counting for February 16. The results will be declared on February 18.
