"We will attend the obituary references to pay tribute to our slain leaders on Monday. Later, we will object every move of the ruling government in the House (in the context of the Naxal attack)," Congress MLA Mohammed Akbar told reporters here after attending a meeting of party legislators this evening.
He, however, did not clarify whether Congress will boycott the entire session.
Senior Congress leaders, including state unit president Nandkumar Patel, former Leader of Opposition Mahendra Karma, ex-union minister Vidya Charan Shukla were among 29 persons killed in the Maoist ambush on Congress cavalcade on May 25 in Bastar.
Alleging that ruling BJP government's failure in ensuring security to the convoy resulted in the attack, Congress MLA Dharamjeet Singh said, "Congress believes that the ruling government is a killer government. Due to their failure in providing adequate security to our leaders that the deadly incident happened".
Singh said the party will convene another meeting of MLAs after two days to decide the further course of action.
The four-day long session, with total five sittings, will conclude on July 19 and is perhaps the last session of the Assembly before the state goes to polls.
Assembly elections are due in Chhattisgarh by year-end.
