C'garh govt inks deals with 3 pvt companies in various sectors

Chhattisgarh government today signed three MoUs involving investment of around Rs 2,000 crore in food processing, defence product manufacturing and mineral resources sectors in the state.
"Three MoUs involving investment of nearly Rs 2,000 crore was inked at Mantralaya, in the presence of Chief Minister Raman Singh," a public relation official here said.
The agreement for establishing defence products manufacturing unit was signed between state's Commerce and Industry Department Secretary Subodh Kumar Singh and Subodh Agrawal of Messrs Iren Systems, while the deal for promotion of mineral resources was inked with Vinay Kumar of Mineral Company Messrs MSV Stone LLP.
Likewise, Subodh Kumar Singh signed an MoU with Director of Messrs Abyss Export (India) Pvt Ltd, Bahadur Ali, for setting up food processing industry.
During the event, it was informed that as many as 195 areas in Raipur, Mahasamund, Balodabazar, Gariaband and Dhamtari districts have been identified as granite reserves. In this area, M/s SSV Stone LLP has agreed for investment of Rs 58.80 crore alone in Mahasamund district, the official said.
As per the MoU, Messrs Iren Systems will develop a defence technology city with state-of-art infrastructure.
Under the project, defence manufacturing cluster, defence research lab and testing facility as well as defence smart city will be established, he said.
Messrs Abyss Export (India) will set up a poultry feed production unit with a capacity 1,000 tonnes per day.
"In this project, nearly 1.5 lakh tonnes of corn, 66 thousand tonnes of soya and 24 thousand tonnes of rice will be used as raw material, as a result of which corn and soya producers will receive fair price of their yield," the official said.
"All these projects will create job opportunities for youth in the new sector," he added.
Industry Minister Amar Agrawal, Chief Secretary Vivek Dhand and other officials were present on the occasion.
