Cabinet approves signing, ratification of extradition treaty with Malawi

The government Wednesday approved the signing and ratification of an extradition treaty between India and Malawi.

The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the signing and ratification of the treaty, an official statement said.

The treaty would provide a legal framework for seeking extradition of terrorists, economic offenders and other criminals from and to Malawi.
