Cartons of smuggled liquor seized, one held

As many as 190 cartons of liquor smuggled in the state from Haryana were seized and one person arrested at Yamuna bridge in Kairana town of Shamli district, police said today.
A truck loaded with bales of hay with liquor bottles hidden underneath was intercepted last evening, a police official said.
The accused Pardeep Kumar was arrested and a case was lodged against him, he said.
