One Dr Mukesh filed the complaint case in the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate R P Malviya in Bhagalpur against Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Minister Giriraj Singh under several sections of the IPC.
The CJM admitted the case and fixed June 22 for it next hearing.
In the case, the petitioner objected to the minister reportedly eulogizing the slain Ranvir Sena chief as a Gandhian leader and wondered as to how a person who founded a private militia of an upper caste and was an accused in over 200 murder cases could be equated to the 'Father of Nation'.
