Sukhadiya, who had sought information concerning the Minister in several matters, was attacked on June 24.
Judge J K Rana ordered Amreli Police to investigate Sukhadiya's complaint, which alleged Sanghani was involved in the attack.
According to Sukhadia, sub-inspector R P Mirza, who recorded Sanghani's name in the FIR, was immediately transferred from Amreli so as to scuttle the probe.
Following which, Sukhadiya moved the Magistrate's court, seeking police probe against the Minister.
