Nagpur police in coordination with Karnataka police had yesterday arrested two persons from Andhra Pradesh Express train, on a tip off that they were trying to flee to Delhi.
Congratulating the Police, Siddaramaiah said police had kept watch on the movements of the culprits from the very first day.
Asserting that law and order situation in the state was "good", he reiterated that the state government will provide compensation to Jagadish's family at the earliest.
The incident happened when Jagdish, attached to Doddaballapur police station, along with four other constables had gone to Nelamangala town to catch two burglars involved in various crimes including motorcycle thefts.
